Barwon Health & Gateways Services Joint Upgrade Reception, & Waiting Area

This initiative seamlessly combines shared reception areas to support two organisations and shared waiting rooms to cater to two health services.
The seating design subtly incorporates storage space, while light timber screening is used for passive staff monitoring waiting areas. This introduces additional light and biophilic qualities into the spaces, creating a natural and calming atmosphere and ensuring clients' privacy. Flooring treatments are strategically employed to assist clients in navigating the areas—the flexible bench seating is designed to accommodate wheelchairs, ensuring easy cleaning and adherence to social distancing measures. Additionally, thoughtful amenities such as device-charging stations are provided for visitors, offering a considerate touch to alleviate client anxiety.
