Richmond Reinvention
Creating a light-filled oasis around the courtyard for this pint-sized inner-city landlocked home in Richmond, was both challenging and inspiring. In this appealing single-story home, we eliminated unused space and corridors with every inch becoming purposeful. The home is self-sufficient with electricity generated from roof panels and run-off water collected and reused in the rain-gardens, toilets and washing machine.
The two bathrooms, the study and the three bedrooms are all spacious. Imaginative use of plant-filled gardens makes the smaller spaces appear much larger. Containing lots of hidden smart features, the eye-catching kitchen, living and dining spaces utilise inventive and stylish benches, to be reconfigured effortlessly to the family’s needs, with a refinement and aesthetic that will appeal for a lifetime.
