Kew Quarter
Our challenge at Kew was not only to create an elegant home that is able to grow with and adapt to a family lifestyle, but to also distinctively modernise the Victorian terrace. Central to the brief was creating an extra living space for older children, which was achieved by incorporating a rumpus room and window-seat nook that connects the indoors with the outdoors, allowing us space to also include a well-crafted first-floor glassed-in cellar.
Hidden smart features resulted in the impressive transformation and extended use of renewable resources, generating electricity and reusing rainwater onsite. Whilst the house has well-positioned windows and light wells to maximise internal light and the kitchen is central to family lifestyle, a key feature are the two bedroom zones, enabling entry-level aged and accessible living.
