Hawksburn House One
Our client loves their neighbourhood close to Hawksburn Village but needed more space for family life. To maximise the social and the play spaces, our idea was to create two outdoor courtyards linked by strong visual connection. The twin spaces allow kids to romp in one courtyard, as adults can enjoy a BBQ in the other, or watch television in the second living area while still keeping an eye on the children across the central kitchen and dining zone. The two courtyards have large sliding doors connecting the two zones, making the entire plot accessible from corner to corner.
The theme of visual connection continues with highlight windows that fill the house with beautiful light and views to the sky. Room for house guests was on the wishlist; our suggestion was to include a secondary living space that can adapt to comfortably accommodate guests as needed. This solution offers much better value than a guestroom, because it offers the family the option of using the space year-round. This light-filled, breezy home with Lifestage Design™ smarts, is now ready to grow with, and adapt to evolving family lifestyles.
