To ensure that the family could stay at home throughout the renovation, this project was completed in two stages. An imaginative overhaul of the kitchen, creating a central hub for cooking, gathering and family time, includes a beautiful stone island and creative lighting. Thoughtful features such as flexible storage, kicker ‘cupboards’, tilt-up overhead cupboard doors and self-closing drawers were also included to complement the design.
The welcoming super-intuitive kitchen, reoriented to open up to the outdoors, and conversation-welcoming bench seating, has become an enjoyable space for day-to-day life as well as larger-scale entertaining, combining stunning design with long-term functionality. The ensuite and laundry side boundary extensions are sympathetic to the existing period rooflines, whilst inside, an imaginative plan offers ample space, user-friendly functionality and a private courtyard. Timeless aesthetics and hidden smart features make this stunning home yet another exciting example of Lifestage Design™.
