Como Residence
This Arts and Crafts heritage home was renovated following conversations about how the family lives now and how the spaces could work better into the future. From that, the first floor was rethought and redesigned.
Previously, it was taken up by a large and somewhat cold master suite, with a bedroom, ensuite, walk-in robe, study and sitting room. The renovation shifts the focus of this level to better suit the younger members of the family.
The bathroom was updated using some of the existing fittings, with colour and texture added throughout. There are no white walls instead, the spaces are layered with wallpaper, lighting, window seating, soft furnishings and subtle detailing to make them feel more lived-in and comfortable.
The first floor now includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, ensuite, walk-in robe and a shared sitting room, creating a space where the young adults in the family can settle into their own part of the house.
