Caulfield Deco
This renovation of a classic 1930s home began with a feasibility study that identified the need for underpinning and damp mitigation, common challenges for houses of this era. Once the structure was stabilised, each room was carefully refreshed or reworked to respond to the home’s Art Deco character and our client’s lifestyle.
The new kitchen simplifies the plan by removing awkward angles and introducing a concealed pantry, ideal for a self-confessed “messy cook” who loves entertaining and cooking for extended family. Working alongside Sarah Newbold Interiors, soft furnishings, bold colours, and signature furniture pieces were selected to complement the joinery and original features, bringing cohesion and renewed energy to the entire home.
