Barwon Health University Hospital General Cafeteria & Cafe
Our brief was to refurbish the Geelong campus's main cafe and dining area. This central meeting place needed a warmer and more friendly ambience. The update is part of an ongoing program to improve the patient/visitor experience, staff wellbeing, and to create a welcoming, contemporary aesthetic.
In accord with Barwon Health’s Aboriginal Health Unit’s guidelines, wall graphics based on artwork by a local Aboriginal artist enrich the interior.
Staff can enjoy a private area in a dedicated meals zone that offers calm and respite, separated by light screening. A variety of seating arrangements provides a better dining experience for all, while accessible device recharging points are a thoughtful touch that helps everyone remain in contact.
