Smart thinking resulted in the impressive transformation of this large home. At its heart is an imaginative overhaul of the kitchen, dining and living spaces, creating a central hub for cooking, gathering and family time. At the outset, we explored the family’s lifestyle, tastes and vision, sensitively blending them with our own ideas and insights to create an inspirational design, phased over four stages so the family could stay at home throughout.
The inviting, super-intuitive kitchen, reoriented to open up to the outdoors, is now an enjoyable space for day-to-day life as well as larger scale entertaining, balancing aesthetics with long-term functionality. A beautiful marble island and creative lighting are complemented by thoughtful features such as flexible storage, kicker ‘cupboards’, easy-to-use handles and self-closing drawers. Bespoke, handcrafted, durable steel windows and doors replace the originals to stunning effect. Materials and finishes are easy to clean and designed to last a lifetime.
